Daniel Hood Autobiography
Autobiography
Hello!☺
My name is Daniel Hood. I focus on policy and political news that directly affects the disability community, including housing, job placement, hobbies, talents, and dreams, and on sharing their stories.
I
conduct interviews, edit, record, and produce audio as part of my
work. I am also in the process of developing an online radio station.
These skills and experiences have equipped me to effectively communicate the
issues and stories of the disability community.
I
enjoy spending time with my friends and family, going to parks,
swimming, hiking, and trying new things.
I
grew up in Forest Lake, Minnesota, with my brother, Jason; my sister, Beth; and my parents, Bob and Patrice Hood.
I attended
special education classes and participated in Special Olympics, lived in a couple of
group homes, and received adult foster care.
My educational journey has
been a significant part of my life. I graduated from Forest Lake and
received my diploma through the Northeast Metro 916 Transition
Program in 1998.
Recently, on October 4th, 2022, I received my Certificate for radio broadcasting from the Recording Radio Film Connection & CASA Schools. These achievements demonstrate my commitment to learning and advancing in my field.
Seeking a
mentor, hands-on training, and experience in my areas of study at
Radio Connection.
I moved out of my last group home in 2000
and have lived independently for 25 years.
